Sakto!

After going to mass today, I stopped by the Coop to do some grocery shopping. Although what I have on my list were only wheat bread, sandwich spread, canned tuna, and some instant 3-in-1 coffee, I bought some biscuits and cocoa mix along with it. I only have five-20 peso bills, two-five peso coins and four-25 centavo coins in my pocket. So when I was waiting for my turn at the cashier, I was mentally calculating my purchases. I was thinking of leaving some instant coffee but decided against it. What the heck, I'll just tell the cashier to cancel some of my purchases if my money would not add up to my grocery. I was looking at the figures flashing on the cash register everytime the cashier punches in the prices of my purchases. So when the machine showed that it cost me P111.00, I gave her all the money I have. Counting every bill and coin and...Sakto! What I have in my pocket was only P111.00! I can't help but smile after letting out a big sigh of relief. Tamang-tama lang! :)

ganyan ang buhay!

Last Thursday, Kathy, Doodie and I were riding a Katipunan Jeep going to National Bookstore. Seated across us was a little boy who was sitting on his mother's lap. Kathy and I were arguing whether the boy was asleep or not. It was my contention that the boy was sleeping because his eyes were closed, although he was munching on some crackers. Kathy said that he was just eating with his eyes closed. Noticing our questioning eyes, his mom woke him up! And Doodie said, ganyan ang buhay! That was just a picture of a blissful life!
